Rook and Roll!
NOTE: Project still in progress due to current COVID-19 restrictions. Final product coming soon.
I worked on this project with 3 other students as a part of a course in integrated computer aided design. We began by designing our unique chess set in SolidWorks using surface modeling.
Our final design took a sleek and minimalist approach using material to distinguish the pieces. Our board is aluminum with sand blasted glass inserts. Our pieces are aluminum and will be water marbled in order to achieve the desired finish.

Unfortunately, this project is currently incomplete due to COVID-19 restrictions. As soon as it is safe to do so this project will be manufactured using Mastercam generated G-Code, Haas TL-1 triple axis Minimill, TL-1 Lathe, and a water jet cutter.
